Day 21 – Horse Back Riding Mendoza

3rd January 2025

Today after having grab breakfast, we decided to go shopping for snacks and walk to carefour to get some delicious passion fruit tea and then walked to a local restaurant, which was out of the way to try a choripan, a local Argentinian hotdog. The cherry pen we got there was definitely an elevated version of a choripan but was very tasty.

In the afternoon we had organised an activity and so waited at our hotel until a taxi came to pick us up and drove us outside of the city to this compound with lots of horses. Since a horse bike riding would start at sunset we had a about an hour so we were able to go swimming in the swimming pool that they had and just relax. As the son was saying they came to get us and showed us to our individual horses struggling to help mom get on hers. We all got on and started riding through the Pampa through the bushes, which was nice and we got to enjoy your beautiful sunset and came back as it was getting dark.

As we got back mum realised that she had lost her glasses and freaked out. Thankfully we asked one of the guides to see if they could find it on the path that we had taken and they were able to find them which was lucky.

Next we had our dinner, which was empanadas, Argentinian steak and Malbec. We enjoyed our dinner and then got back into our Taxi to bring us back to the hotel.
