Waking up in GuangZhou at around 5am, we get our stuff together and head to the free continental breakfast buffet. Chinese breakfast. Yes. We have our breakfast noodles and tea, and head out to the free airport shuttle and arrive at the airport. We then realized that neither of us brought hats or sunglasses. We look for some in the airport, but all they have are the brand name sunglasses and hats with stuffed pandas sewed to the top of them. So we decided to look for them in Australia. We get on our next flight, where they served Chinese food, watched our movies, and took a nap.

We land in Sydney, Australia at around 9pm. We have no complications with customs, border control, or with our check-in luggage. We went through with a breeze. Antoine had planned to take the train all the way to right around where we were staying, and it went smoothly since turns out, all we needed was a contactless card. The train ride only cost 1AUD, about 50p.

The walk from the station to the hotel was about 10 minutes under the Australian rain, it felt like we hadn’t left London, even though we had just travelled 34 hours to the other side of the world. our room was small, but cozy. We cleaned up, and went to sleep pretty much immediately.
