Today after taking the Eurostar from Paris to London, I arrived back at Regents around 10pm, where I started packing and preparing for my trip, charging all the hundreds of batteries necessary for my camera, go pro, ect…
After going to bed for a quick 2h nap, I woke up at 4 am to finish packing up and getting ready for the trip. I left at 4h30 to walk to Paddington where I took the Heathrow Express to Terminal 2.
Once at Heathrow and through security I Skyped Jamie for an hour, just before going on the plane to Istanbul. On the flight I watched the Hunger Games and took a small nap.
When I arrived at Istanbul, I found a comfortable spot next to the gate I had arrived at, there I took a nap until Mathieu and Papa arrived, 2H later. After meeting them, I grabbed a quick sandwich and we took the bus in the freezing col to the plane.
Our flight lasted 6H30 to Kilimanjaro, during which I watched a couple of movies including Kung Fu Panda. Once our plane landed we exited the plane on the tarmac at 2 am. we walked to the office where we filled out our immigration forms and queued to enter Tanzania. after this whole process, we went through and were met by a minivan which brought us to the hotel. There we were given our rooms and Mathieu and I went to our room to sleep.
