Drove with dodgy brakes: all day

Out of all the cities we have been to this trip, I think it is safe to say for both of us that Udaipur is our favorite city. We woke up at 8 am to get breakfast and hopefully ride the camels that come up to the hotel entrance. Unfortunately, the camels did not come so we left.

We drove through little villages, all getting ready for their 10-day celebrations for one of their gods Ganesh. There were colors everywhere.

We also drove through a forest to find more monkeys, these were much bigger. On all fours, they go up to Antoine’s waist. We decided to feed them. One even jumped onto the top of the rickshaw. Before we left, the monkey’s started to gather around the rickshaw so we took some more food and threw it as far as we could, and drove off.

As we got closer to Jodhpur, we came across some cows. They were crossing the road, so we had to wait for the holy cow crossing. The cows left a lot of holy shit.

Tomorrow will be our last day of driving, it’s been a bittersweet ride. Part of us doesn’t want to part with Rickshaw Parker, but the other part can’t wait for an actual car to be in.

Let’s hope that everything goes smoothly tomorrow since our brakes aren’t working properly.
