Today is Christmas day which made it a bit more complicated to travel, as there were practically no taxis in the city, and after struggling to order one by phone or uber, I downloaded a local app and managed to find one that bought me to the airport, earlier than planned but better early than late.
There I checked in for my 3 flights back to Paris, the first to Santiago de Chile, which took an hour. As this flight flew to its destination, it flew over the Andes, including the valley Mathieu and I had taken to get to base camp (the Vacas Valley). Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to see the summit of Aconcagua, or base camp as they were covered in clouds.
In Santiago I had a 4-hour layover where I went to get some MacDonalds before getting into my flight to Sao Paulo, a 3h30 flight where thankfully I had a free space next to me to get a little bit more space.
Finally, the last stretch was a flight from Sao Paulo to Paris, a 12h flight which landed me in Paris the following day after almost 24h of travel.
