today we got woken up at 3 am to go on the final stretch of our journey to machu pichu , because the porters needed to pack everything to grab a train back to the valey
we got a quick breakfast and headed to the final gate of the inca trail where we were let in to the machu pichu valey. we after an hour wait for it to open. after a 2 hour hike and quick snacks we arrived at the sun gat where we got the first glimpses of Machu pichu , and took lots of pictures , even though it was covered by shadow
we then continued back into Machu pichu to take pictures and get a tour of the city and n explanation of what happened there.
after the tour we got free time to walk around before grabbing a bus to the city next to it ( aguas calliente) where we met the group in a restaurant and went to the local market, before taking a train through the valey to ollyantambo ( the city where we started the inca trail )
at ollyantambo we got a private bus to cusco where we got to see the celebrations for the winter equinox including fireworks, before going to a sandwich restaurant and going to bed because we couldnt move our legs anymore and were dead tired .
