today we woke up at 4:30 am after a rough night, being woken up every 30 minutes by a different noise, the most notable being the storm of crickets landing on our roof and making a noise of 70 decibels in the middle of the night. however we had a long day ahead of us, driving all the way to Vietnam.
We started the first leg of our journey to the Vietnam border which took about 5 hours, with a quick stop to buy some snacks to eat in the bus. At the border, we were able to go through with minimal issues not he Cambodian side, which just checked our passports and let us leave the country. However the Vietnamese side was a bit more cahotic and required a little bribe to even look at our passports.
However after our little bribe, we sped through immigration and were into Vietnam where we still had a 2hr drive to the city of Ho Chi Minh City. As we entered the city, we started to be surrounded by thousands of motorbikes zooming everywhere. We managed to make it to the hotel without hitting any of them and dropped our bags before going to dinner with the new people that are joining our group.
