The flight from dubai landed at 7am in Bangkok where after disembarking we had to weave our way across the huge airport to immigration, who didn’t even look at us just took our passport stamped, finger prints and good to go. Next was luggage claim which was also super easy as my luggage was there ready for me.
Once i got the luggage i ordered the equivalent of an uber and waited for the taxi outside the terminal. The taxi took about 25 mins to get to the hotel in the center of the city, apparently close to china town. Unfortunately i had been so efficient that when i got to the hotel it was entirely too early and i had to wait for my room to be ready for 2hr. Thankfully time flew and it was ready before i knew it and i was able to take a shower and a nap.
In the afternoon my roommate arrived and after some quick introductions we decided to go walk around the hotel to see if we could find some snacks. We found a little shop nearby to buy water and chips before walking around where we stumbled upon a little market. We walked around until we decided to go back to the hotel.
At 6pm it was time for the introduction meeting to the tour, where we got to meet the other 17 people we would be travelling with as well as a little bit more detail on what we would be doing over the next couple of days.
Next we decided to all go as a group to a local restaurant where we got some delicious pad thaï, the best i have had so far. we decided to call it an early night as we would be leaving the next morning at 6am and needed to get caught up with the time difference
